Carter Davey Architects is a practice founded by Chelsey Carter and Jasmine Davey in 2022, based between Brighton and Chichester.
With experience spanning new build and alterations to residential properties, small-scale housing development schemes and community projects, our design style is responsive to the individual needs of our clients. We seek inspiration from the setting, existing structures and materials to design buildings that truly belong.
Prior to setting up Carter Davey Architects, we worked together for ten years at Robin Nugent Architects, a Conservation specialist architectural practice, which has equipped us with understanding and experience working to the constraints and precision of Grade II and II* buildings, Conservation Areas, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Scheduled Ancient Monuments.
Jasmine Davey – RIBA ARB Chartered Architect
Jasmine is an RIBA Chartered Architect, studying Undergraduate and MArch at The University of Kent, and completing PGDip studies at The University of Brighton. With a love for teaching and understanding the importance of a close relationship between education and practical experience, Jasmine taught as a Architecture Stage 1 and 2 Undergraduate Design Tutor at The University of Kent for four years, and represented the British Council at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2014.
Chelsey Bravery (Carter) – ARB Chartered Architect
Chelsey first studied Interior Design at Kingston University, before gaining practical experience within a multidisciplinary office which led her to pursue a career as a highly technical Architect with a deep interest in spacial context. Whilst working full time in practice, Chelsey gained her Undergraduate Architectural degree at Oxford Brookes University, and MArch and PGDip at The University of Portsmouth.
